Frequently Asked Questions

Primary Care

Yes! I’m a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with 12+ years of experience managing chronic and acute conditions. You can choose to see me for all your care — or keep your current PCP and come to New Day for specialized services like hormone therapy and metabolic care.

Yes. We are working to be in-network with many major plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Insurance typically covers your basic medical visits. However, our membership model allows for longer appointments, better access, and exclusive services not covered by insurance. Patients love this deeper, more personalized approach!

Membership is REQUIRED for hormone therapy evaluation and treatment, as well as access to provider cost lab testing (if not covered by insurance) and GLP1 medications (if not covered by insurance) if needed. Membership is not required for primary care services however appointment lengths without a membership will be in keeping with industry standards. Membership provides for more time with a provider with no subject off the table, access to care team between visits and in-depth support. We offer family discounts and a limited number of need-based scholarships as well.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

HRT relieves hot flashes, night sweats, brain fog, mood changes, vaginal dryness, sleep issues, and more. It protects your heart, brain, and bones, and is considered very safe for most patients — especially when started within 10 years of menopause.

Yes. Early fears from a flawed 2002 study have been clarified with updated science. Today, HRT is backed by leading experts, including The Menopause Society, and is recommended for many women to reduce symptoms and chronic disease risk.

The best time is within 10 years of your last period for maximum heart and bone protection. However, many women benefit from starting even earlier in perimenopause — when symptoms begin but periods haven’t stopped yet.

There’s no age limit. You and your provider will make that decision together, based on your symptoms, health history, and quality of life.

We monitor for side effects and adjust dosing based on your symptoms, labs, and how you feel. HRT is highly customizable, and we work closely with you to find your optimal balance.

Yes. If your uterus has been removed, you may not need progesterone, but many still benefit from it — especially for mood and sleep. If your ovaries were also removed, this is surgical menopause, and you may benefit even more from early HRT.

Absolutely. Men also experience hormone decline — often with fatigue, brain fog, mood changes, low libido, and reduced endurance. We offer testosterone therapy as part of our men’s hormone and primary care services.

It depends. FDA-approved bioidentical hormones are more likely to be covered than compounded versions. We help you navigate costs and offer transparent pricing so there are no surprises. Most labs are at least partially covered.
